Top 3 Swaddle Questions
How To Swaddle Your Baby

Fold a Newton Baby 100% muslin cotton Swaddle into a triangle. Lay your baby on the Swaddle with their shoulders at the folded edge. Bring baby’s left arm across their chest and wrap the Swaddle over and under their body. Bring the bottom of the Swaddle up and tuck it under the fabric across their chest. Bring baby’s right arm across their chest and fold the Swaddle over and under their body to complete the wrap.

How Long Should You Swaddle Your Baby?

Most babies outgrow swaddling between three and six months old. If your baby starts taking their arms out of the swaddle on their own, they’re ready to transition. Another sign that your little one is getting too old to be swaddled is when they begin rolling over. At this point, consider switching your infant to a sleep sack or footie pajamas.

How Many Swaddles Will You Need?

For sleeping purposes, you’ll need at least two Newton Baby Swaddle Blankets — one on the baby and one as a backup in case the first gets dirty. Newton Baby’s organic muslin cotton Swaddles are also ideal to use as stroller pads, changing pads, nursing covers, burp cloths, or blankets. You can never have too many Swaddle Blankets on hand!
